In Mark 2 we see Jesus taking action on some key issues. Jesus was never neutral. He always stood for what is right!

§ The Pharisees believed in fasting twice a week, although this was not required in the Mosaic Law. They were trying to find fault with Jesus.

B. THE ANSWER - Vss. 19-22

· There was no reason to fast when Jesus was present.

· Even the Pharisees excused fasting for the wedding party during a wedding. Vs. 19

· Fasting came later, when Jesus was absent. Vs. 20
