CHANGE IS COMING

Change is anticipated as the Children of Israel prepare to enter the Promised Land. The first change mentioned deals with female ownership of property in a male dominated society. The second change is a change in leadership.

It is interesting to note that the first change is a result of faith and the second change was a result of the lack of faith.

CHANGING OF THE GUARD

There are always times when leadership changes. Sometimes it is because of age, or death, or resignation, or incompetence, or some other reason. When leaders change we sometimes call it "The Changing of the Guard". This alludes to an act of soldiers.

In Israel there was a changing of the guard before they entered the Promised Land. Joshua replaced Moses in leadership.
