THE MISSIONARY PSALM
CALL TO MISSIONS - Vss.
1-3
The glory and wonders of
Christ need to be proclaimed to the "heathen". Matthew 28:19-20
Don't think of heathen
people as people who live in a third world setting.
Think of heathen people
as anyone in need of Christ.
REASONS FOR MISSIONS -
Vss. 4-6
1.
The Lord is great and
should be greatly praised. Vs. 4
2.
He needs to be feared
above all Gods. He is feared when Jesus
is claimed as Savior. Vs. 4
3.
The Lord is the only
true God, who also made the Heavens. Vs. 5
4.
The Lord is preeminent.
Vs. 6
MESSAGE OF MISSIONS -
Vss. 7-10
To give the Lord the
glory due his name means to accept His way of salvation. Acts
To worship the Lord in
the beauty of holiness also requires us to trust Christ as Savior. 1 Peter
2:9-10
The heathen must realize
that it is God who reigns. Revelation 1:8
He shall judge
righteously. John 3:18, Revelation 20:11-15, 2 Corinthians 5:10
END OF MISSIONS - Vss.

The Lord will return to
judge in righteousness.

MY SONG FOR JESUS
Following the advice of the
Psalmist, as I worship the Lord Jesus my song to Him should be:
A FRESH SONG - New - I
should be so growing in Christ that I have new reasons to praise Him every day.
A FULL SONG - Praising
the Lord with my whole heart
A FREQUENT SONG -
Continually blessing His name
A FAITHFUL SONG -
Proclaiming His salvation
