Psalm 26
IS YOUR SALVATION REAL?
It is possible to make a profession of faith in Christ and not be truly saved. Matthew 7:21
Here are three questions to ask yourself based on Psalm 126 to evaluate if your salvation is the real thing.
IS YOUR SALVATION A RELEASE? – Vs. 1
The person who is truly saved has been set free. He is a new creature and no longer required to be in captivity. 2 Corinthians 5:21, Romans 6:10-14, Galatians 5:13, John 6:31-36
DOES YOUR SALVATION REJOICE? – Vss. 2-3
Someone who has trusted Christ has Savior realizes that the Lord has done great things for him and rejoices. Vs. 2-3
IS YOUR SALVATION RESPONSIBLE? – Vss. 5-6
Someone who knows Christ as Savior will have a burden to reach others with the Gospel.
They are responsible to weep for others who don’t know Christ, bring the Gospel to them taking “precious seed” and reaping with joy those who trust Christ, the “sheaves”.
