A CALL FOR HELP
TROUBLE! – A TROUBLED CRY – Vss. 1-2
Judge me, O God, and plead my cause
against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the
deceitful and unjust man. [2] For thou art the God of my strength: why dost
thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the
oppression of the enemy?
TRUST! – A TRUSTING PRAYER – Vss. 3-4
O send out
thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy
hill, and to thy tabernacles.
[4] Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon
the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.
TRIUMPH! – A TRIUMPHANT REMINDER – Vs. 5
Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope
in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my
God.

MY NEEDS or NEEDY OLD ME
We will all depend on
others today. We will depend on some to
provide food, some to provide utilities, some to assist at work, some to help
with needs at home. If we ever stopped
to count the number of people that we depend on during one day, I think we
would be surprised.
Of course, the one we
need to depend on more than anyone else is God.
Yet, many people never admit just how much they need God's help. Psalm
43 reminds me just how needy I am.
I NEED GOD'S HELP Vs. 1
I NEED GOD'S STRENGTH
Vs. 2

I NEED GOD'S GUIDANCE
Vs. 3
Light brightens the path
so we can see what direction to take. Psalm 32:8
Truth is what I need in
order to make a right decision.
I NEED GOD'S PRESENCE
Vss. 3-4
Notice that the guidance
the psalmist especially wants is into the presence of God.
All problems are
diminished when I am in fellowship with my God.
I NEED GOD'S
ENCOURAGEMENT. Vs. 5
As I hope in God, He
will encourage me.
The conclusion of this
Psalm is I NEED GOD!
