Psalm 51
A PSALM OF CONFESSION
David had sinned, having had an affair with Bathsheba,
and arranging for her husband to be murdered. (See 2
Samuel 11-12) After being confronted by
Nathan the Prophet, David wrote this Psalm of confession. It is a good pattern for us to follow.

ASK FOR GOD'S CLEANSING Vss. 7-14

BE HUMBLE - Vss. 1-2

BE HOPEFUL - Vss. 7-14
We can be hopeful
because:
God will cleanse from
sin. Vss. 7, 10
God will cheer us with
renewed joy. Vss. 8, 12
God will create a new
sense of His presence. Vss. 9, 11
God will cause us to be
testimonies for Him. Vss. 13, 14
