Daniel 2:1-28
LEANING ON GOD
Daniel and his three
friends, Shadrach, Meshack, and Abednego were in a
tough position. They would have been
executed, if God did not help them. In a
real way, they learned to lean on God (Proverbs 3:5-6)
DREAM OF NEBUCHADNEZZAR
- Vss. 1-3
He had a troubling
dream.
DEMAND FOR INFORMATION -
Vss. 4-13
Nebuchadnezzar not only
wanted to know the interpretation of the dream, but the dream itself. The wise men of
DEPENDENCE ON GOD - Vss.
14-18
Daniel got a delay in
the execution date in order to pray. He
and his friends depended on God to reveal the dream and the interpretation.
DESCRIPTION FROM GOD -
Vss. 19-23
God revealed the dream
and its interpretation to Daniel. Daniel
showed his appreciation.
DECLARATION FROM DANIEL
- Vss. 24-28
Daniel declared to the
king that his wise men could not reveal the dream and its interpretation. He also declared that there was a God in
Heaven who would reveal the secrets of the dream.

chapter Daniel revealed the dream and its interpretation.)

Daniel 2:1-23
A DIVINE REVELATION
DISTURBING DREAM – Vs. 1
Nebuchadnezzar had a dream which he did not understand
and may have even forgotten.
DISRUPTIVE DEMANDS – Vss. 2-12
Nebuchadnezzar not only demanded an interpretation of
the dream, but for the men to state what the dream was. When they said they couldn’t do it, the King
pronounced a death sentence on all them, which would have included Daniel and
his three friends.
DESTINED DELAY – Vss. 13-18
When Daniel found out what the problem was, he asked
for a stay of execution, in order to get an answer from God. This was granted.
DELIGHTFUL DISCLOSURE – Vss. 19-23
The dream and its interpretation was
revealed to Daniel.

A DIVINE EXPLANATION
DANIEL’S DECLARATION – Vss. 24-25
Daniel announced that he understood the dream and the
interpretation.
DANIEL’S DISCLAIMER – Vss. 26-30
Daniel gave all the credit for his understanding to
God.
DANIEL’S DESCRIPTION – Vss. 31-35
The statute was described in detail.
DANIELS’ DECIPHERING – Vss. 36-45
Daniel gave the interpretation of the dream.
DANIEL’S DISTINCTION – Vss. 46-49
Daniel was honored for his accomplishments.
