A GODLY STAND
Introduction - Many people have taken a step for God. Give
some examples of people you know who have stood for God at work, home, school,
etc. Shadrach, Meschach, and Abednego
made their stand for God when their king wanted them to worship an idol.

CONFRONTATION FOR
RIGHTEOUSNESS' SAKE
Christians should not
like conflict. However there are times when conflict is necessary. When we are asked to that which is wrong, we
must resist and stand for what is right.
A SINFUL PROCLAMATION -
Vss. 1-11
The king was requiring
that an image of his making be worshipped. It is wrong to require anyone to
worship anything or anybody except the one true God.
A STEADY STAND - Vss.
12-18
These young men stood
for what was right and would not back down.
A SUPERNATURAL
INTERVENTION - Vss. 19-27
Although the punishment
was severe, God's intervention was miraculous.
A STRIKING PRONOUNCEMENT
- Vss. 28-30
The king announced that no
one was allowed to speak against the one who proved to be the one true
God. Instead of being an enemy of God,
the king was at least impressed by Him.
