Isaiah 55:1-5

YOU ARE INVITED!

THE GREAT INVITATION - Vs. 1

This great invitation to Israel is also a great invitation to every person to come and receive salvation. It is free because it has been paid for on the cross! John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21

THE GREAT INQUIRY - Vs. 2

So many people work and try to earn their way into Heaven.

The price for your salvation has already been paid. We need not labor. We need only to believe! Ephesians 2:8-9

THE GREAT INCLINATION - Vss. 3-4

Everyone needs to incline their ears to the message of salvation, and accept it.

THE GREAT INCENTIVE - Vs. 3-5

Israel is promised the Millennial Kingdom. It is an everlasting covenant.

We also have an everlasting covenant of eternal life. And during the Millennium we will reign with Christ. We are "joint heirs" with Christ. Romans 8:17, Revelation 20:6

WHAT AN INVITATION!

In the course of a year we get many invitations.

We are invited to join clubs and organizations.

We are invited out to dinner.

We are invited to parties and celebrations.

We are invited to participate in various projects through our efforts and financial support.

But better than these invitations is the invitation give to us in our text.

IT'S FREE! - Vss. 1

The gift of salvation is free. We must simply come in faith and enjoy! Ephesians 2:8-9

IT'S FOOLISH! - Vs. 2

Why work for what has already been paid for? Jesus paid for our sins in full. 1 Peter 1:18-19, Titus 3:9

IT'S FANTASTIC! - Vs. 3

The covenant or promise that God makes is an everlasting one. The promise we have is for everlasting life! John 3:16

IT'S THE FUTURE! - Vss. 4-5

One day Jesus will reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Isaiah 11:1-16

ISAIAH 55:6-7

Recipe For Revival

Christians all over America need to come back to God.

This recipe for revival, if practiced, will certainly bring America back to God. And even if America does not come back God, individuals to whom we preach, can anyway!

WE ARE TO:

1. Seek The Lord While He May Be Found

2. Call Upon Him While He Is Near

3. Forsake Our Wicked Ways And Unrighteous Thoughts

4. Return Unto The Lord.

GOD WILL:

1. Have Mercy.

2. Abundantly Pardon

CONDITIONS FOR REVIVAL

When there is revival, the first results are among God's people.

THE CHRISTIAN'S RESPONSIBILITY

1. SEEK THE LORD - Vs. 6

2. FORSAKE WICKED WAYS - Vs. 7

3. FORSAKE UNRIGHTEOUS THOUGHTS - Vs. 7

GOD'S RESPONSE

1. HE WILL HAVE MERCY - Vs. 7

2. HE WILL ABUNTANTLY PARDON - Vs. 7
