3 Outlines
Isaiah 11:1-10
DON’T WAIT FOR THE MILLENNIUM!
During the Millennium, the thousand year reign of Christ
on the Earth, the Lord Jesus shall rule. It will be:
A RESOURCEFUL RULE – Vss. 1-2
And there shall come forth a rod out of
the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: [2] And the spirit
of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the
spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the
Lord;
Jesus will rule in the Power of the Holy Spirit.
A RIGHTEOUS RULE – Vss. 3-5
And shall make him of quick
understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight
of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: [4] But with
righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of
the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his mouth, and with the
breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked. [5] And righteousness shall be the
girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins.
A RESTFUL RULE – Vss. 6-10
The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb,
and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion
and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. [7] And the cow
and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion
shall eat straw like the ox. [8] And the sucking child shall play on the hole
of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice' den. [9]
They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy
mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the
waters cover the sea.
[10]
And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign
of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his rest shall be glorious.
I should allow Christ to rule in my life now.
CHRIST SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RULE ME WITH A RESOURCEFUL
RULE
(By His Spirit)
Isaiah 11:2 - And
the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of
the fear of the Lord;
Ephesians 5:18 - And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the
Spirit;
Galatians 5:22-23 - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith, [23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is
no law.
CHRIST SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RULE ME WITH A RIGHTEOUS
RULE
Romans 10:4 - For
Christ is the end of
the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Romans 5:17 - For
if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive
abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one,
Jesus Christ.
CHRIST SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO RULE ME WITH A RESTFUL
RULE
Isaiah 26:3-4 - Thou
wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed
on thee: because he trusteth in thee. [4] Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in
the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength:
Matthew 11:28-30 - Come
unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and
I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am
meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my
yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Philippians 4:6-7 - Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. [7] And the peace
of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds
through Christ Jesus.

GOD'S PERFECT GOVERNMENT
Isaiah 11:1-16
Many of us are looking
forward to the Millennial Reign of Christ, This
passage gives a description of what Jesus' rule will be like during that 1,000
year period.

Isaiah 11
WHEN JESUS REIGNS
The reign of the Lord
Jesus here on earth will be a glorious one. Isaiah 11 tells us some important
things about it.
THE SPIRIT OF HIS REIGN
- Vss. 1-2
God's Holy Spirit will
rest on the Lord Jesus Christ. Notice
that He is the Spirit:
1.
Of the Lord
2.
Of wisdom
3.
Of understanding
4.
Of counsel
5.
Of might
6.
Of knowledge
7.
Of the fear of the Lord.
THE STANDARD OF HIS REIGN
- Vss. 3-5
The standard of his
reign is righteousness.
There will be nothing
unrighteous about the reign of Jesus. All His decisions will be just.
THE SAFETY OF HIS REIGN
- Vss. 6-10
Animals will docile.
Children will be safe.
His rest shall be glorious.
Vs. 10
THE STRENGTH OF HIS
REIGN - Vss. 11-16
The scattered Jewish
remnant will return to
